The State University of Maringa (UEM) is an institution that is not satisfied with sharing knowledge only. Its scientific community, competent as well as national and internationally recognized, is involved with research, innovation, and science.
In this context, the positive results combine improvement in undergraduate and graduate courses as well as the increase in scientific production and patents granted by the National Institute of Industrial Property (Instituto Nacional de Propriedade Industrial - Inpi).
Currently, the university holds 24 patents and other 104 requests are under analysis. Besides, there are registrations of 34 computer programs and 7 brands.
