Social Sciences Graduate Program

The Social Sciences Graduate Program (Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ciências Sociais – PGC) focuses on the concentration area “Society and Public Policies”. Its proposal of knowledge production is guided by the following areas of social sciences: Anthropology, Political Science and Sociology. The creation of these research areas is based on the faculty's professional and academic experience and existing Research Groups. The aim of the Program is the education of professionals with consolidated theoretical and methodological competencies to teach and use different investigation tools to analyze sociological problems in a regional, national and international scope. The Program has received score 3 in the evaluation of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior – CAPES).
