Master’s Program and Doctoral Program
The Education Graduate Program (Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação – PPE) was created in 1990 in association with the Faculty of Education of the University of Campinas (Universidade Estadual de Campinas – Unicamp), becoming the first Master’s Course in Paraná state’s interior, thus contributing to the education of researchers from the region and playing an important multiplying role. Some reformulations have since been carried out following the concern that education should encompass the processes of production and transmission of socially constructed knowledge linked to different forms of work. The Program has received score 4 in the evaluation of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior – CAPES). In 2006, the Program’s structure was reshaped in order to achieve a more organic and integrated format among its research projects, as well as to inaugurate the Doctoral program. Nowadays, PPE holds only one concentration area: Education.
In its current organization, the Program is articulated among 3 fields of research which complement each other despite their distinctive features and subjects. Through an interdisciplinary approach, these fields constitute a unity that provides the researcher in Education with a broad academic background, favoring the construction of an ample vision regarding the historical subject and its educational processes.
