Production Engineering Graduate Program

The Production Engineering Graduate Program (Programa de Pós-Graduação em Engenharia de Produção - PGP) of the State University of Maringá (Universidade Estadual de Maringá - UEM) embraces scientific production and establishes human resources in the area of Production Management. It’s a field of knowledge that aims to explore research and apply methodologies and analysis techniques, as well as planning, valuation and improvement techniques in production systems. The Program encompasses two research fields: (I) Decision Support Systems and (II) Systems Optimization and Simulation. The scientific production in these research areas aim to support decision making for companies with the implementation of qualitative and quantitative methods for both industrial processes and product optimization. These are based on management approach, statistical methods and on the various sub-areas of operational research.
